Today in my email I was greeted by yet another security breach notification, this time from Patreon:
I started wondering just how many notifications I had received in recent years so I started searching through my email. It turns out in the email that I had not deleted I was able to find 2 more notifications from this year. Slack on March 27th and Twitch on March 23rd:
For 2014 I found two more. Target on January 15th, 2014 and Home Depot on January 11th, 2014:
In 2013 there were two notifications that I received. Riot Games on August 31st, 2013 and Evernote on March 2nd, 2013:
The search through 2012 only returned one notification which was Linkedin on June 8th, 2012:
Now I’m not sure if I was really good at cleaning up my email prior to 2012 but I was able to find only one more email breach notification and it was Monster.com on August 31st, 2007:
This really is turning into quite a collection. Hopefully Patreon is the last of 2015.
