Welcome! I’m Jason Morrow, and this little corner of the internet is my playground for curiosity, adventure, and (of course) a healthy dose of cybersecurity and tech goodness.
For me, getting the most out of life comes from the interplay of family, nature, technology, and a relentless pursuit of understanding. At the heart of my world are my four amazing kids and my incredible wife. They are the masterminds behind my daily dose of laughter and chaos.
When I’m not trying to keep up with my kiddos or negotiating bedtimes, you’ll find me knee-deep in the world of cybersecurity, helping organizations protect their sensitive data and focus on what really matters – their business.
For over 20 years, I’ve navigated the complex landscapes of the finance, healthcare, tech, and telecom industries, in roles ranging from security analyst to senior leader. Every twist and turn along the way, every conquered challenge, has fueled my passion for using technology as a force for good, and striving for a more secure future.
But let’s be honest, spreadsheets and security controls don’t define me. When the work day is done, I do by best to transform my focus into being a good dad, to embarking on epic family expeditions, tinkering with the latest gadgets, or getting lost in the pages of a good sci-fi or epic fantasy book. Oh, and I have a bit of a love affair with building (and occasionally crashing) radio-controlled aircraft. Don’t judge me, the thrill of seeing them soar is worth every catastrophic landing!
And then there’s gaming. Let’s just say, virtual worlds like Eve Online, OSRS, Roleplaying MUDs, and World of Warcraft hold a special place in my heart, offering a chance to escape, explore, and battle it out with online friends. It’s a special world of pixelated glory, and I wouldn’t trade visiting it occasionally for anything!
So, why this blog? Well, I believe that life’s an endless learning journey, and I’m eager to share my discoveries, big and small, with anyone who wants to join the ride. It’s a space for sharing tech insights, family shenanigans, book recommendations, and maybe even the occasional bit of wisdom gained from crashing RC planes (it happens more often than you’d think!).
